I think most people probably already know this but figured I’d share anyways. Walmart gift cards work at Sam’s Club and Sam’s Club gift cards work at Walmart.
Pepper. I frequently notice within the Inbox tab of the Pepper eGift card store app, that they often have 10x boosts on either Walmart or Sam’s Club eGift cards. This is an incredible 10% discount. If you pay with a 2% cashback credit card this makes it a 12% discount. If you pay with ABG it’s 4x MR for effectively around a 14% discount if you count MR as 1 CPP.
Pepper seems to update their daily boost offers around 10 AM EST, so that’s when I check. And sometimes they add a few others later in the day. Another great one I see often is the 10x boost on Amazon eGift cards.

Rotating Category Cards. The fact that the gift cards work at either store is also handy during certain quarters on rotating category cards. For example, currently in Q3 of 2024, Discover It has 5% cashback — 10% cashback during the first year — at Walmart, where you can buy Walmart gift cards to use at Sam’s Club. I’ve also bought Sam’s Club gift cards to use at Walmart during the Wholesale Clubs rotating category quarters. Chase Freedom Flex and Discover It Cashback are the two rotating category cards I have that often have Wholesale Clubs and Walmart 5% cashback quarters; I have referral links to both of those on my referrals page.
